A Haven
for Wildlife
Fifty Seven Waterberg is located in Welgevonden Game Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to Africa’s Big 5. With over 50 species of mammals and more than 300 bird species, the reserve is alive with diversity.
It is also a safe haven for rhinos — one of the few places in Africa where rhinos roam freely with their horns intact. Here, conservation is more than a responsibility, it is a commitment to protect creation for generations to come.
Your choice of a game drive during early mornings or just before dusk is about to settle over the land, our friendly, knowledgeable guide will take you out to areas where game is likely to be found.

Besides the reserve’s status as one of the few locations in which it is possible to spot all of
Africa’s iconic Big 5, the region also has more than 50 species of mammals. For the
dedicated bird watchers, the region boasts in excess of 300 species of birds.
